The first hour is paid upfront before a standard appointment is confirmed. Some areas use the basic rate; some have a local-area premium. Your postcode decides which applies.

How it works: the first hour covers the initial attendance and labour time. Parts and any additional time are charged separately or quoted as a fixed price where that makes more sense. There is no separate call-out charge during standard working hours.

Area pricing

The postcode checker applies the correct rate automatically. If a location premium applies, it is included in the first-hour figure shown before payment.

Emergency/out-of-hours pricing can be different and is shown before an emergency booking is confirmed.
